Lee Lewanika Simbeye, President & CEO
Lee is a visionary entrepreneur with a wealth of electrical and electronics engineering knowledge. He is highly inventive and innovative, with over ten years of project management experience and a proven success record. Lee's expertise lies in Solar System Design Engineering, with a graduate-level understanding of Inverters, Battery Management Systems, and Solar modules. He is proficient in performing solar project feasibility studies, engineering designs, power analysis and simulation, construction, and commissioning. Lee has worked for reputable companies such as Nabors in the Oil and Gas sector and Rogers Communications, where he gained field experience working directly with Solar PV installers, electricians, and other construction workers. He holds a master's degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Engineering from Carleton University. Lee's skillset is an asset to Megatricity Energy, and we are delighted to welcome him to our team.
Ochas K. Pupwe, PhD, MBA, CMA, PMP
Ochas is an innovative and entrepreneurial engineer, economist, accountant, and expert in corporate financial strategy, with over 15 years of working experience in accounting/finance, academia, business consulting and project management. Ochas has a proven performance track record with vast experience in developing human capacity, developing, and sustaining business strategy, and driving actionable success through transformational leadership. Ochas takes advantage of his broad expertise in various disciplines, ability to build business partnerships, and risk-savvy attitude to drive value creation and bring organizational change across various functions. Having led efforts for various startups and worked for various Fortune 500 companies, Ochas has bottom-up experience in starting, growing, and expanding a business.
Ochas earned his bachelor's in electrical engineering from The Copperbelt University in Kitwe, Zambia, a master's and Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, and an MBA in Corporate Finance from The University of North Carolina @ Chapel Heel. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). Ochas also sits on the Finance & Investments Committee of the Louis August Jonas Foundation Board and is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting, Finance and economics for Northwood University and West Liberty University.
Demarius D. McRae
Demarius McRae is an operations expert and entrepreneurial-minded executive with consistent success in improving the profitability, performance, and value of organizations. He is a highly visible, forward thinking, business savvy leader with a passion for generating results through people, alignment, analysis, sound processes, and innovative approaches.
Our Chief of Operations takes pride in his vast experience as a planner, leader, and strategist with a keen eye for business opportunities and development. Through education and practical experience, Demarius has a strong business and financial acumen and is dedicated to delivering upon established objectives, while placing great emphasis on quality and service. With greater than twenty years of business experience, Demarius has encountered success in the industries of energy, healthcare, and sports.
Demarius earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University, a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from George Mason University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan Flagler Business School.
Likonge Makai
Likonge is a highly accomplished electrical engineer with a master's degree. She has been recognized with several awards throughout her career, including the Woman in Engineering Award from PUSH. At her workplace, she has spearheaded multiple energy-saving initiatives. In 2019, she was conferred with the Fellow EIZ title. She has over 15 years of extensive experience in management in the mining industry.
